She's Here!!!

Ok so yes she is now almost 11 full days old and I am just getting around to posting about her but it is hard to do anything when all you do all day is hold her and stare at her (he, he)

Addison Grace was born on Friday November 13th at 3:13 in the afternoon - I know weird right, all those thirteens. She was 6 lbs 6 oz and 18 3/4" long and absolutely beautiful.  This super cute picture is obviously of her in the hospital.  She kept grabbing her little hat and pulling it down over her eyes.  I thought it was funny so I took a picture of it.

Our friend Amy took pictures for us again, yes I know it was only like 7 weeks later that we had our pictures taken, but who knew we would have a baby in 3 weeks.  Anyway, this is just to get ya through until the fabulous ones are finished.  I can't wait to see them!!

Announcement

Our life has been super crazy lately as we have offically decided to adopt - YIPEE! It is something I have wanted to do since before I was married and something Kent and I have always talked about.

Around the beginning of October, I finally decided it was time. The feeling that this is something I would like to do just would not go away so I thought it was time to tell Kent it is time. I love my husband, it only took him a couple of days of re-shifting his thinking (that we are done to we are doing it again) before he was on board. We, or shall I say I, read and read and searched and searched for the agency I wanted to go with. We, yes we this time, narrowed it down to two; Heart and Soul out of Farmington and A Guardian Angel from Sandy. Both are great agnecies. We put our paperwork in Heart and Soul on Friday October 23, had our homestudy that day, and planed on submitting our paperwork to A Guardian Angel that following Monday. Well, Monday morning, I spoke with A Guardian Angel about a little girl being born the next day. Yes we panicked but it felt right so we said yes show our profile to the birth mom. I ran to Salt Lake to give them everything we had, emotions flying every direction to get ready for a baby the next day. Well, she did not have her the next day, the doctor said she was not quite ready to give birth.

So the agency shows her our profile, along with a couple of other families that Tuesday. We waited and waited and stressed and got the nursery ready and stressed and didn't sleep hoping and praying we were picked. On Friday morning we got the phone call that we were picked!! I was at work and screamed out loud. Oh the relief and excitement. Made the announcement via text to family and friends in my phone and floated the entire rest of the weekend. (her now new due date is November 13).

Now Kent and I cancell our trip to New York for our anniversary, we would hate to be there if she delivers early, and wait and wait, every so often ask "where's our baby?" We don't like to wait. In the meantime, the nursury if finished, we have a couple of clothes and a car seat and are now just waiting for the phone call that says go to the hospital you daughter is about to be born.

So yes this process was crazy fast (3 weeks from paper work to baby). All I can say is that was one heck of a pregnancy.

More updates to come ...
